Food and Fun Holiday

Loud_music You know you are getting a great gift when it comes with a warning label! I am the proud new owner of a 30GB Zune with a pair of Bose around ear headphones. This combo sounds great and the headphones are super comfy. I also received Led Zeppelin's latest CD/DVD Mothership which I promptly loaded to my Zune. To top the evening off I had several helpings of sausage balls and played "Sunshine of Your Love" on Guitar Hero III. A music and food filled holiday. The best thing is no more turkey till next Thanksgiving. I hope tomorrow is pizza night.

Simpson's Movie

Spiderpig Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to skip seeing I am Legend at the theater and settled for a night at home watching the Simpson's Movie on DVD. Some really funny moments and a few things that were a little over the top even for my favorite TV family (nobody should have to see Bart naked although I guess I should be thankful it wasn't Homer). Overall a 3 star out of 5 pick for me. As usual some of the funniest scenes dealt with church and how it is perceived. Home cooked Mexican for dinner and the Simpson's Movie will probably lead to an evening of Spider Pigs dancing in my head.

Christmas Competiton

Xmas1_3 Each year we try and decorate our home in a tasteful manner. Simple white lights with green garland and bows on the porch. I think it's quite beautiful and reflects our thoughts on this wonderful season. The house next door is an entirely different story. It is an explosion of lights with no less than 5 Christmas trees on the front porch. There are candy canes, penguins, teddy bears, and plastic Santas strewn all around the property. People drive buy slowly and even stop in front of the display to get a better view. It looks like a scene out of Christmas Vacation.

Xmas2 In fact much like Chevy Chase this guy has borrowed my ladder on numerous occasions to repair blown fuses on his roof and till this day I don't think all of his little lights are twinkling. Each year it seems he adds something new to this holiday extravaganza. What would you say if this guy lived next to you? I simply say Merry Christmas Dad and thanks for teaching me all I know about exterior illumination. Icon_smile
