First Preview Reflections
I know I'm a bit late posting this but things were a little hectic last week. I was trying to get caught up on all those things that got put on the back burner while preparing for the first preview. Here are some thoughts from Sunday #1 in no particular order.
No permanent damage done to people or property, that is a good thing.
Sound Method rocked out for God. Unfortunately the theater's power grid wasn't up to the task.
Sound system was incredible.
Set up was smooth with plenty of volunteers.
You can pack an entire portable church into one trailer but I wouldn't advise it.
Crowd was great and hung with us even through all of the technical problems.
A corded mic frustrates Mark and of course I amused myself by watching his frustration. :)
Its a long long way from the theater floor to the breaker box in the projection room.
Daniel not only plays guitar he's a pretty darned talented breaker flipper!
No one complained that the music was too loud. We will need to fix that for next month. :)
We will have two trailers for February and this should make load out faster.
Kids area looked great!
Need lighting for our banners in the hallways.
Can't wait for next time!!!
Well after weeks of anticipation we got to demo our new sound system today and it's incredible to say the least! We ran it up to 110db and it remained crystal clear with tight bass. We chose the Peavey Versarray system because of the steepness of our theater environment. We can have even sound distribution without blowing out the front section of the theater. Big thanks to our friends at the
