Bigger Than a Mountain?
In my last entry I alluded to some of the mountains that stood in our way for last Sunday’s Worship Experience. Let me elaborate. Due to some unforeseen circumstances we needed a replacement drummer at the last minute. Daniel was more than willing to fill that role but there was one problem, Journey doesn’t own a set of drums and neither does Daniel. Everyone called their friends looking for a set of drums for Sunday but none were to be found. Richard (Journey’s bass player) mentions he has an old set in his basement but we probably wouldn’t want to use them live. With no other option the guys go and literally dig Richard’s drums out of his basement. We used those drums last Sunday without even having time to wipe all of the dust from them. God met our need.
Fast forward to Monday afternoon... Journey has purchased its own drums and appears to be on course for practice that evening. Then another mountain appears something maybe even bigger than a mountain. We have been asked by our landlord not to practice in the warehouse anymore because it is bothering the neighbors. Crap! Just when we thing things have smoothed out another mountain pops up. Our landlord jokes that we are the first church that he has ever had a complaint against for being too rowdy.
To top things off the starter goes out on Mark’s vehicle. Now we have to find a place to practice and a way to get all of the equipment there. To make a long story short we secured a temporary location, got all of the gear moved in and out, and had practice. One of the songs we practiced was very appropriate for all of the obstacles we face. Curious? Come to Sunday’s Worship Experience and hear the song performed live.
God's showing me through what I have gone through & what I'm going through now, that He always parts the sea for us...Just like he did long ago, He will do the same today, He hasn't changed & neither have His promises.....If we believe what His Word says, have faith & wait on Him, He will prove His faithfulness to us every time...In His way. This gives me peace & assurance that I can trust Him & His Word to be faithful to me nomatter what I'm facing, even when the seas don't look like their going to part at the moment.
